Social Clubs and COVID-19

As you will all now be aware social clubs must be closed by 10pm for the foreseeable future. This means last orders will probably be called by 9:30pm. Whilst in the clubs you must remain seated, table service is compulsory. If you stand up to move about the club, you must wear a mask – it’s the law!

Club committees have been working very hard since March trying to keep clubs open and provide a safe place for you to visit. The next few months are going to be very difficult and the clubs now need your support more than ever.

Please respect the staff, committee and fellow members by wearing a mask when required – don’t try and be clever by inventing medical reasons not to.

Do not criticise them for calling last orders so early or asking you not to move furniture or stopping you from mixing with different groups of 6.

Remember it is a maximum of 6 per group. Not 7, not 6 plus children, or 6 plus family bubble – just 6.

Please make sure you complete your Track and Trace details. It is the law. The clubs cannot afford the fines. No signing in = No service!

Most importantly of all, please do not stop going in!

The clubs will need your support more than ever over the next few months. Things are going to be very difficult but with your support clubs will be able to survive this.
